Statesmen defeat Nazareth, 2-1

ROCHESTER, N.Y.—The Hobart soccer team improved to 12-2-0 on the season with a win over Nazareth College in a non-league game this afternoon. The Golden Flyers dropped to 10-4-0.

Rookies Tom Moulton (Providence Country Day/Coventry, R.I.) and Sam Wisner (Wayland/Wayland, Mass.) each scored a goal to lead the Statesmen past the Golden Flyers. Moulton scored his first collegiate goal 11 minutes into the game, while Wisner netted the game-winner in the 88th minute off an assist from sophomore Dan Riso (Red Hook Central/Red Hook, N.Y.).

Sophomore goalkeeper Pete Van Dellon (Webster Thomas/Webster, N.Y.) tallied a season-high nine saves for Hobart to improve his record to 7-0-0.

The Statesmen will return home on Oct. 20 when they host Skidmore for a Liberty League match at 4 p.m.
