GENEVA, N.Y.--Hobart College senior back Peter Cooke (Jamesville-DeWitt/Fayetteville, N.Y.) is the Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association's soccer Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 7. He helped the Statesmen to a 2-0 week.

Against Keuka College on Oct. 2, Cooke scored an insurance goal on a direct kick to help Hobart to a 2-0 win over the Storm. At Ithaca on Oct. 6, the senior converted a penalty kick in the 107th minute to give the Statesmen a 2-1 victory in double-overtime. Cooke is currently tied for the lead on the team in scoring with four goals and an assist for nine points.

The Statesmen (5-4-3) return to league play this weekend when they travel to St. Lawrence University and Clarkson University. Hobart faces the Saints on Oct. 12, at 4 p.m., and the Golden Knights on Oct. 13, at 2 p.m.
