GENEVA, N.Y.—The National Soccer Coaches Association of America recently released its 2002 Northeast All-Region teams. Representing Hobart College on the third team are sophomore forward Ricky Klotz (Homer/Cortland, N.Y.) and first-year midfielder Micke Subotowicz (Farsta Gymnasium/Stockholm, Sweden).

A second team All-UCAA honoree, Klotz led the Statesmen and conference in scoring with 10 goals on the season. Netting five game-winners, he helped Hobart to its best season since the arrival of Head Coach Shawn Griffin in 2000.

Leading the UCAA with seven assists, Subotowicz was a mainstay in the middle third of the field for the Statesmen. A technically and tactically gifted player, he started all 20 games for Hobart, earning second-team All-UCAA accolades.

Closing the year at 10-8-2, the Statesmen showed considerable improvement throughout the season. Hobart finished fourth in the regular season conference standings to earn a bid to the inaugural UCAA Tournament falling to top seeded and eventual national semifinalist St. Lawrence 3-0 in the opening round.
