Tavish Mortimer

GENEVA, N.Y.--Hobart College first-year midfielder Tavish Mortimer (Providence Country Day/Mansfield, Mass.) is the Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association's soccer Rookie of the Week for the week ending Oct. 21. He helped the Statesmen to a 1-1 week.

Mortimer scored his first collegiate goal 27 seconds into overtime to defeat Rensselaer. The midfielder lofted the shot from 40-yards out, beating the Red Hawk goalie for the 1-0 victory.

The Statesmen (6-7-3) return to action on Oct. 24, when they travel to Hamilton College to face the Continentals.
