GENEVA, N.Y.—Hobart College senior Freddy Cook (St. George’s School/Greenwich, Conn.) was named the Liberty League Squash Men’s Co-Performer of the Week this afternoon after posting a 4-0 record in the No. 7 spot over the weekend. This is the second time this season the conference office has honored Cook.

Helping the 13th-ranked Statesmen to a 2-2 weekend, Cook opened with a 3-0 (9-2, 9-4, 9-1) victory over Colby’s Nate Stone in an 8-1 Hobart victory. Later that afternoon, he dispatched Bates' Brian Greenleaf 3-0 (9-3, 9-7, 9-1) in a narrow 5-4 Statesmen loss.

The following morning, Cook dropped Chris Metcalf of Bowdoin 3-1 (9-0, 9-0, 4-9, 9-8) as the Statesmen upended the Polar Bears 6-3. Closing out the weekend against top-ranked Trinity, Cook earned his 15th win of the year and Hobart’s lone victory in the match with a hard-fought 3-2 (9-1, 7-9, 4-9, 9-2, 9-3) win over Tripp Kyle.
Cook is a team-best 15-3 overall and has compiled a solid 32-10 record over the past two seasons.

The Statesmen (12-6) return to action on Feb. 10, when No. 7 Cornell visits the Smith Squash Center at 5:30 p.m.
