GENEVA, N.Y. – Hobart College sophomore John Keating IV (Mainland/Linwood, N.J.) recently was named to the Liberty League Men’s Squash All-Academic Team.

Over the past two seasons, Keating has played in two matches, winning both, for a talented and deep Statesmen squad. A two-sport athlete, Keating also races for the Hobart and William Smith sailing team.

Student-athletes from conference schools were selected to the team based on the following criteria: sophomore academic standing, at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average, and on the team roster for the academic year.

Two-time Liberty League Champions, Hobart is looking to improve upon its current overall mark of 12-6 on Feb. 10, against visiting Cornell. The match is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. at the Smith Squash Center.

Hobart and William Smith Colleges are coordinate, private, liberal arts institutions, located in Geneva, N.Y. Hobart College for men and William Smith College for women share faculty, facilities, and curriculum, but maintain separate dean’s offices, athletics programs, student governments, and traditions. Hobart and William Smith field 22 intercollegiate varsity teams. Over the past 30 years, the Colleges have captured 20 national championships and dozens of conference championships.
