GENEVA, N.Y.—Two Hobart squash players were recognized by the Liberty League this afternoon. Junior Prateek Patni (Daly College/Indore, India) and first-year Cale Forgues (Ridley College/Kemptville, Ontario) were named the conference’s Co-Player of the Week and Co-Rookie of the Week, respectively.
Patni went undefeated in the No. 1 position at the College Squash Association Team Championships, as Hobart finished fifth in the Conroy Division. He sliced through the competition knocking off his opponents from Vassar College, the University of Washington, and Haverford College by the same 3-0 score.
Forgues also went undefeated, playing in the No. 2 position. He sandwiched 3-1 come-from-behind wins over the Brewers and the Fords around a 3-0 sweep of his Huskies’ opponent.
A rebuilding year, Hobart finished the season with a 5-17 overall record. Both Patni and Forgues completed the season with a 9-13 record.
