GENEVA, N.Y.—Hobart first-year Cale Forgues (Ridley College/Kemptville, Ontario) was named the Liberty League Men’s Squash Rookie of the Year in a vote of the conference’s coaches today. He and senior Prateek Patni (Daly College/Indore, India) represented the Statesmen on the All-Liberty League team.

Playing the entire season at No. 2 for Hobart, Forgues compiled a 9-13 overall record. He was named the Liberty League Rookie of the Week for the week ending Feb. 19, after helping the Statesmen to a fifth place finish in the Conroy Division of the College Squash Association Team Championships. Forgues ended the season on a three-match winning streak. He was one of only two first-years named to the All-Liberty League team.

In his first year as Hobart’s No. 1 player, Patni compiled a 10-15 overall record, the most wins for a Statesman this season. He is making his third consecutive appearance on the All-Liberty League team. Patni was named the Liberty League Performer of the Week for the week ending Feb. 19, after winning all three of his matches in Conroy Division play. He has a career record of 29-31.

A rebuilding year for the Statesmen, Hobart finished the season with a 5-17 record.
