Nick Pearson

GENEVA, N.Y.—Hobart first-year Nick Pearson (Chestnut Hill Academy/Philadelphia, Pa.) was named the Liberty League Men’s Squash Co-Rookie of the Week today. It’s the third time in as many chances that he has received the award.

Pearson remains the hottest player on Hobart’s roster after defeating Franklin & Marshall’s Shane Slater 9-4, 7-9, 9-5, 6-9, 9-2 at No. 4 on Saturday. Pearson is 7-2 on the season and has won six consecutive matches.

The Statesmen (3-6), who lost 7-2 to F&M, are off until after the holiday break. They’ll return to the courts on Jan. 12, when they travel to Wesleyan.
