GENEVA, N.Y.—Hobart College first-year Nick Pearson (Chestnut Hill Academy/Philadelphia, Pa.) was named the Liberty League Men’s Squash Rookie of the Week by the conference office this afternoon. It is the fourth time this season he has won that award.

Pearson was 2-0 over the weekend at No. 3 for Hobart, extending his current win streak to three matches. He defeated John Subranni of 14th-ranked Tufts 3-1 (7-9, 9-6, 9-2, 9-5) and Ted Hill of 13th-ranked Cornell 3-1 (9-6, 6-9, 9-7, 9-4). Pearson is 12-8 overall.

Hobart (4-16) lost to the Jumbos and the Big Red by the same 8-1 score. The Statesmen will look to get back in the win column on Feb. 14, when they host the University of Rochester. The final regular season match of the year for Hobart will start at 7 p.m. in the Smith Squash Center.
