Statesmen advance to Conroy title tilt

NEW HAVEN, Conn.—The Hobart squash team will play for the Conroy Trophy thanks to a 5-4 victory over Northwestern University today in the semifinals at Yale University.

Hobart (6-17) got 3-0 victories from sophomore Nick Pearson at No. 3, junior Ned Lanphier at No. 7, and senior Andrew McDonough at No. 8. At No. 3, sophomore Cale Forgues lost his first game, but rebounded for a 3-1 win. First-year Craig Chircop secured the match at No. 9 with a gutty 9-2, 4-9, 6-9, 9-4, 9-5 triumph.

The Statesmen will face Middlebury in the Conroy championship match at 9 a.m. on Feb. 25.
