Crockett, Cook remain perfect on weekend

January 17, 2004

NEW HAVEN, Conn.—Junior Freddy Cook (St. George’s School/Greenwich, Conn.) and first-year Tucker Crockett (Episcopal Academy/Rosemont, Pa.) remained undefeated on the weekend, as the Hobart College squash team fell to No. 14 Bates 6-3 at the Brady Squash Center at Yale University. The Statesmen are now 9-2 overall, suffering their first loss since Nov. 16.

Crockett battled back to beat Pete Goldsborough in the sixth spot after falling behind in the opening two sets. The victory pushed him to 9-2 overall this season. At No. 7 Cook mimicked that performance, losing the first two sets, but found his rhythm to hand Alex Wolff the 3-2 (6-9, 5-9, 9-1, 9-3, 9-1) loss.

The Statesmen hit the courts again on Jan. 18, matching up with Bowdoin at 11 a.m. at the Brady Squash Center.
