GENEVA, N.Y.—The Hobart tennis team posted its second straight win this afternoon, defeating Nazareth College 5-2. The Statesmen, who played on the outdoor courts of the HWS Tennis Center for the first time this spring, improved to 5-7, while the Golden Flyers fall to 4-6.
Senior Peter Piné (Princeton/Princeton, N.J.), the No. 17 ranked singles player in the Northeast Region, improved his team-leading singles record to 15-3 with a 6-4, 6-3 win over senior Ben Klempka (Cortland/Cortland, N.Y.) at first singles. First-year Nick Raho (Wheeler School/Providence, R.I.) also won in straight sets, defeating senior Mitch Graves (East Syracuse-Minoa/Minoa, N.Y.) 6-0, 6-4 at sixth singles.
Hobart is back in action at 4 p.m., on April 5, when the St. John Fisher Cardinals visit Geneva.
