Ronny Koenig

GENEVA, N.Y.—Hobart senior Ronny Koenig (Roslyn/Roslyn, N.Y.) was named the Liberty League Men’s Tennis Performer of the Week this afternoon.

Koenig won his first match of the season, defeating Division II Mercyhurst’s Alfredo Mortensen in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4, at third singles. Playing mostly at No. 4 and No. 5, Koenig was 5-9 in singles play last season and is 7-12 in his career.

The Division III Statesmen lost the match to the Lakers 7-2. Hobart (0-1) is back in action on Sept. 16 and Sept. 17 in the Flower City Tournament in Rochester.
