James Micheroni

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y.—Hobart sophomore James Micheroni (Sharon/Sharon, Mass.) reached the third round of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northeast Region Championship singles draw.

The Statesmen's No. 1 player defeated Ithaca's Danny Wolk 8-3 in the first round and Drew's Anthony Tunnero 6-1, 6-3 in the second round, before falling to Vassar's Erik Skartvedt 6-3, 7-5 in the third round.

Seniors Ronny Koenig (Roslyn/Roslyn, N.Y.) and Matt Silver (Weston/Weston, Conn.) and junior Charlie Davis (Manlius-Pebble Hill School/Cazenovia, N.Y.) also participated in the singles draw, falling in the first round.

Both of Hobart's doules entries lost in the first round.
