|     |  | April 1, 2006       CANTON, N.Y.—The Hobart tennis team suffered a 6-1 defeat at the hands of   St. Lawrence this afternoon. The loss drops Hobart's record to 3-10, while the   Saints improve to 4-5.
 Senior Matt Jacobus (South Burlington/South   Burlington, Vt.) picked up the lone point for Hobart, winning sixth singles 2-6,   6-1, 11-9.
 
 The Statesmen also won third doubles behind the play of   Jacobus and sophomore Nick Raho (Wheeler School/Providence, R.I.), but St.   Lawrence won at first and second doubles to win the point.
 
 Hobart returns   home for its next match, when Ithaca comes to Geneva on April 6 for a 4 p.m.   match.
