Hobart tops Hamilton

April 17, 2003

GENEVA, N.Y.-The Hobart tennis team won its third straight match defeating Hamilton 4-3 in Bristol Field House. The Statesmen improved to 12-6 overall and 10-6 for the spring.

Winning in the singles matches were senior Kevan Marvasati (Jamesville-Dewitt/Jamesville, N.Y.), junior Trevor McAndrew (Northfield-Mt. Hermon/Westerly, R.I.), sophomore Colman Currie (St. George’s/London, England), and first-year Matt Jacobus (South Burlington/S. Burlington, Vt.). The only doubles team to come away with a victory, Currie and Banta, improved their record to 10-4.

The Statesmen return to action on April 26-27 at Vassar for the UCAA Championship.
