Hunt named to UCAA All-Academic team

GENEVA, N.Y. – The Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association has named Hobart College senior tennis player Andrew Hunt (Woodstock Academy/Pomfret Center, Conn.) to its spring All-Academic team.

Hunt, the Statesmen’s captain, closed out his career with a 16-6 singles record this season and a 12-9 mark in doubles play. He helped guide Hobart to a 16-4 dual match record, its best in seven seasons, and a third place finish at the UCAA Tournament.

Honored student-athletes must have at least a sophomore athletic and academic standing, a minimum 3.20 grade point average, and must be a major contributor to their team.

Hobart and William Smith Colleges are coordinate, private, liberal arts institutions, located in Geneva, N.Y. Hobart College for men and William Smith College for women share faculty, facilities, and curriculum, but maintain separate dean's offices, athletics programs, student governments, and traditions. Hobart and William Smith field 21 intercollegiate varsity teams. Over the past 30 years, the Colleges have captured 20 national championships and dozens of conference championships.
