NORFOLK, Va.– The 14th-ranked Hobart and William Smith sailing team turned in a strong performance this past weekend, finishing second amongst eight teams at the Aaron Szambecki Team Race Challenge hosted by Old Dominion University. Georgetown edged HWS out for the top spot.

First year Billy Healy (Newark/Newark, N.Y.) sophomores Trevor Moore (Woodstock Union/Pomfret, Vt.) and Amanda Markee (Torrey Pines/Santa Fe, Calif.) juniors Molly Lawson (Noble & Greenough School/Duxbury, Mass.), Augusta Nadler (Tabor Academy/ Marion, Mass.) and Zach Goldman (Lutheran/ Huntington, N.Y.) and seniors John Storck (St. Anthony’s/Huntington, N.Y.) and Lee Sackett (Gilmour Academy/Mentor, Ohio) all competed in the round robin event for the colleges, combining to post a 12-5 record over the course of the two days of racing.

HWS returns to the water on April 2-3, hosting the North Spring No.1 and traveling to the Dublin Trophy at Tufts.
