HWS competes in Hatch Brown Regatta

BOSTON-Four Hobart College sailors competed in the Hatch Brown Regatta this past weekend. The Statesmen finished 11th of 18, while Yale University won the event with a low score of 181.

In the A division the team of senior Wiley Wakeman (Groton School/Cohasset, Mass.) and first-year Bill Healy (Newark/Newark, N.Y.) had three top-five finishes in 16 races to finish 14th overall.

Racing in the B division, sophomore Brian Clancy (Boston College/Scituate, Mass.) and junior Rob Aspinwal (Tabor Academy/Darien, Conn.) turned in four top-six finishes for 131 points and ninth place.

The HWS sailing team will sail again in two different events on the weekend of September 25-26.
