William Smith competes at Mrs. Hurst Bowl

HANOVER, N.H.-The William Smith sailing team competed in the Mrs. Hurst Bowl this past weekend, finishing 11th of 18 teams. Brown University won the event with a low score of 153, while Yale earned the runner-up spot with 155 points.
Seniors Emilie Barkow(University Lake School/Nashotah, Wis.) and Kate Kana(Gunston School/Easton, Md.) raced to five top-five finishes and took 13th in the A division with 161 points. Joining forces in B division senior skipper Kate May(Cranston East/Cranston, R.I.) and junior crew Augusta Nadler(Tabor Academy/Marion, Mass.) had nine top-10 finishes for eighth place in the division.
The HWS sailing team will sail again in two different events on the weekend of September 25-26.
