Sailing wins North Spring #2

THROGS NECK, N.Y.—The Hobart and William Smith sailing team captured another victory this past weekend at the North Spring #2 hosted by SUNY Maritime.
Sailing in two divisions, the Colleges earned their third victory in as many weekends. Winning the A division were first-year skipper James Landi (Salisbury School/Salisbury, Md.) and sophomore crew Nate Owen (Upper Arlington/Columbus, Ohio).
The B division duo of first-year Aaron Moeller (Severan Park/Severan Park, Md.) and sophomore Marian Spurrier (Burlington/Burlington, Vt.) took fourth in the division to help HWS earn the victory.
Ranked third in the most recent Sailing World College Rankings, HWS will compete in the MAISA Women’s Dinghy Championships, the MAISA Open, and the Thompson Trophy on April 23-24.
