William Smith competes at St. Mary’s Intersectional

ST. MARY’S CITY, Md.—The William Smith College sailing team competed in the St. Mary’s Women’s Intersectional this past weekend, finishing in 16th place of 18 teams. College of Charleston took home top honors, while Yale University finished second.

Senior Emlie Barkow (University Lake School/Nashotah, Wis.) and first-year Kate Wilson (Prout School/Hope Valley, R.I.) paired up in the A division, taking 16th place with four top-10 finishes.

In B division racing, sophomores Lauren Anderson (New Canaan, Conn.) and Kate Brush (Champlain Valley Union/Hinesburg, Vt.) and senior Kate Kana (Gunston School/Easton, Md.) finished among the top-10 boats twice for 15th place in the group.

The Herons hit the water again on March 26-27, traveling to the Princeton Women’s Regatta.
