KINGS POINT, N.Y.—Hobart College senior Wiley Wakeman (Groton School/Cohasset, Mass.) finished third with 68 points at the KP Laser Qualifier North. The top three finishers qualify for the Mid Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association Singlehanded Championship on Oct. 9-10, at the Naval Academy.

Competing in 14 races, Wakeman grabbed nine top-five finishes and never finished lower than eighth of 19 sailors. Qualifying for the second consecutive season, he finished seventh a year ago with 120 points.
