GENEVA, N.Y.—Four Hobart and William Smith sailors were named to the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association All-America teams. Junior Trevor Moore (Woodstock Union/Pomfret, Vt.) earned a spot on the All-America Coed Skipper Team, while classmate Brian Clancy (Boston College/Scituate, Mass.) received All-American Coed Skipper Honorable Mention. Seniors Molly Lawson (Noble & Greenough School/Duxbury, Mass.) and Augusta Nadler (Tabor Academy/Marion, Mass.) represented the Colleges on the All-America Crew Team.

Moore is making his second consecutive appearance on the All-America team. He enjoyed an exceptional spring, helping HWS to victory in the America Trophy, the Admiral’s Cup, the Captain Prosser Trophy, and the Aaron Szambecki Team Race Regatta. Over the past three seasons, Moore has sailed in four ICSA National Championship events, helping HWS win the 2005 team race and coed dinghy titles. At the annual Block H Awards Banquet, he was presented with the Most Valuable Sailor Award.

Clancy is a first-time All-American. He too enjoyed a strong spring, helping HWS to victory in the America Trophy, the Admiral’s Cup, the Captain Prosser Trophy, and the Aaron Szambecki Team Race Regatta. Clancy made his first appearance on the national stage in the 2006 ICSA National Championships, as HWS finished third in the team race championship and 10th in the coed dinghy championship.

Also a first-time All-American, Lawson was a key component of the Colleges’ success this spring. She helped HWS secure victory in the Szambecki Team Race Regatta and also helping the then-unranked women’s team qualify for the ICSA Women’s Dinghy National Championship. Lawson competed in six ICSA National Championship events, including both title runs. She teamed with Nadler to finish second in the A Division of the women’s dinghy national championship, lifting 14th ranked William Smith to a 10th place finish.

Nadler is a three-time All-American, the first William Smith sailor to earn three straight All-America awards since Katie Behan ’01 (1998-2000). She sailed in 10 ICSA National Championship events during her career, including two titles and six top three finishes. At the annual Heron Awards banquet, Nadler was presented with the Ady Symonds ’96 Most Valuable Sailing Award.

Since 1996, HWS has earned 38 ICSA All-American awards.
