Augusta Nadler

May 29, 2006

GENEVA, N.Y.—William Smith senior Augusta Nadler (Tabor Academy/Marion, Mass.) was tabbed the Rochester Area College Athletics Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending May 28.

Nadler led the 14th-ranked Herons to a 10th place finish in the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association Women’s Dinghy National Championship in Charleston, S.C. The skipper and her crew, senior Molly Lawson (Noble & Greenough School/Duxbury, Mass.), trailed only national champion Charleston in the A Division standings. The Herons’ boat defeated four skippered by 2006 All-Americans. Including three victories, the William Smith tandem finished in the top three in 11 of the event’s 18 races.

RACA is not a conference, but an association of the 10 Rochester Area institutions of higher learning (SUNY Brockport, SUNY Geneseo, Hobart College, Keuka College, Nazareth College, Roberts Wesleyan College, Rochester Institute of Technology, St. John Fisher College, the University of Rochester, and William Smith College) working together to recognize the outstanding achievements of their student-athletes.
