GENEVA, N.Y.—The Hobart and William Smith Colleges sailing team qualified for the Intercollegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) Team Race Nationals after coming in second place at the Captain Prosser Team Race Regatta over the weekend. The sailors placed first in round one and second in round two, qualifying for the championship round in which they placed second. They finished the day with a 13-4 overall record. Eight teams raced for the Prosser Trophy at Old Dominion University, with Navy and St. Mary’s also qualifying for nationals.

Sailing for HWS over the weekend was senior Trevor Moore (Woodstock Union/Pomfret, Vt.), senior Brian Clancy (Boston College/Scituate, Mass.), junior Jay Mills (Hotchkiss School/Greenport, N.Y.), sophomore Sarah Borup (Toms River South/Pine Beach, N.J.), sophomore Kaitlyn Van Nostrand (Marine Academy/Allenwood, N.J.), senior Mandi Markee (Torrey Pines/Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.), junior Dan Thompson (Mounds View/North Oaks, Minn.), junior Hunter Farris (Trinity/Lakewood, Ohio), and junior Bill Healy (Newark/Newark, N.Y.).
