BOSTON--The HWS sailing team placed third out of 22 teams in the Hatch Brown Regatta. The Colleges' contingent finished just four points behind St. Mary's and 12 points behind winner Brown.

Junior John Pearce (Ithaca/Ithaca, N.Y.), first-year Molly Lawson (Noble & Greenough School/Duxbury, Mass.), and junior Alexis Rubin (Edmund Burke/Potomac, Md.) sailed in the A Division. They finished second with 150 points in 22 races, including three victories.

In the B Division, sophomore Eric Oppen (Oromo/Wayzata, Minn.), Lawson and Rubin finished third with 129 points, including six wins.
