Sailors finish 5th at Captain Hurst Bowl

HANOVER, N.H.--The Hobart and William Smith sailing team finished fifth at the Captain Hurst Bowl Regatta. Harvard won the Captain Hurst Bowl, 38 points ahead of HWS, in the 24-team event.

In the B Division, senior Oscar Barney (Marshfield/Coos Bay, Ore.) and junior Lee Sackett (Gilmour Academy/Mentor, Ohio) finished in third place with 81 points. The pair finished in the top 10 in seven of the weekend's 11 races, including a victory in the seventh race.

In the A Division, senior John Pearce (Ithaca/Ithaca, N.Y.) and sophomore Augusta Nadler (Tabor Academy/Marion, Mass.) turned in a seventh place showing. They recorded five top 10 finishes, including a weekend best third in the sixth race.
