HWS 7th at Boston Dinghy Cup

March 31, 2002

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--The Hobart and William Smith sailing team finished seventh at the 67th Annual Boston Dinghy Club Cup. On the first day of competition, eight races were sailed in each of the event's four divisions. Lack of wind cancelled the second day of racing. Juniors Matt Herbster and John Cline finished 16th in the A division with 108 points. Senior Keara Watson and sophomore John Pearce sailed to a fourth place finish in the B division with a score of 51. In the C division, senior Sarah Angell and first-year Eric Oppen finished fifth with 52 points. Junior Jennie Rosthal and first-year Lee Sacket were eighth in the D division with 60 points.
