HWS wins Cayuga Open
April 28, 2002
ITHACA, N.Y.--The Hobart and William Smith sailing team cruised to another win at the Cayuga Open hosted by Cornell University this weekend. On the first day of competition four races were sailed in a steady northerly breeze of 10-15 knots. On the second day, racing resumed after a rainy morning. Four more races were sailed in 5-15 knot winds from the south. The teams competed in 420's on Olympic triangle and Gold Cup courses. Junior Jennie Rosthal and first-year John Storck won the A division with a score of 10. First-years Eric Oppen and Kate Kana also captured the B division with 10 points.
