HWS Sailing competes at Danmark Trophy Regatta

NEW LONDON, Conn.--The Hobart and William Smith sailing team competed at the Danmark Trophy Regatta, hosted by the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. HWS finished 13th in the 18-team field.
Junior Ed Norton (Tabor Academy/Fair Haven, N.J.) and first-year Augusta Nadler (Tabor Academy/Marion, Mass.) sailed to a 15th place finish in the A Division, while junior John Pearce (Ithaca/Ithaca, N.Y.) and junior Alexis Rubin (Edmund Burke/Potomac, Md.) placed sixth in the B Division.
Pearce and Rubin enjoyed a successful weekend, finishing in the top-10 in 13 out of 18 races.
