Herons finish 8th in Mrs. Hurst Bowl Regatta

September 22, 2002

HANOVER, N.H.--The William Smith sailing team finished eighth out of 18 teams at the Mrs. Hurst Bowl Regatta. The Herons were just a single point behind seventh place Bowdoin.

Senior Amanda Callahan (Notre Dame Academy/Canton, Mass.) and sophomore Kate Kana (Gunston School/Easton, Md.) sailed in the A Division and finished seventh with 43 points.

Junior Mora O'Malley (Totino Grace/Dellwood, Minn.) and sophomore Kate May (Cranston East/Cranston, R.I.) sailed in the B Division taking ninth with 52 points.
