HWS sailing ranked second in preseason poll

GENEVA, N.Y.—The Hobart and William Smith sailing team is ranked second in the Intercollegiate Sailing Association’s (ISCA) fall preseason coed rankings, while William Smith sits in the eighth spot in the women’s poll. Both squads finished the spring season ranked fifth.
Led by Head Coach Scott Iklé, Hobart and William Smith are coming off one of their strongest seasons ever, winning 13 events over the course of the 2002-03 season. This past spring saw the HWS sailing teams excel, earning berths to four of the six North American Championships the ICSA sponsors: the Sloop Championship, the Team Race Championship, the Dinghy Championship, and the Women’s Championship.
HWS opens its fall schedule at the Kings Point Laser Opener on Sept. 6-7.
