HWS Sailing takes 6th at Capt. Hurst Bowl

September 14-15, 2002

HANOVER, N.H.--The Hobart and William Smith sailing team finished sixth in the 24-team field at the Captain Hurst Bowl, hosted by Dartmouth College.

Senior Amanda Callahan (Notre Dame Academy/Canton, Mass.) and junior Ed Norton (Tabor Academy/Fair Haven, N.J.) sailed for HWS in the A division, finishing eighth with 125 points. Junior Alexis Rubin (Edmund Burke/Potomac, Md.) and sophomore Eric Oppen (Oromo/Wayzata, Minn.) represented HWS in the B division, placing sixth with 114 points, including a victory in the weekend's 10th race.
