William Smith 7th at Navy Spring Intersectional

March 10, 2002

ANNAPOLIS, Md.-- The William Smith sailing team finished seventh at the Navy Women's Spring Intersectional. On the first day of competition 10 trapezoid races were sailed in 8-25 knot southeasterly winds. The second day of competition was called at noon due to heavy wind. Finishing sixth in the A division with 81 points were juniors Sonya Smith and Sarah Hawkins and senior Sarah Angell. In the B division junior Amanda Callahan and first-year Kate Kana finished ninth with 78 points.
