Sailing team wins HWS Fall Invitational

October 17, 2002

GENEVA, N.Y.—Junior Ed Norton (Tabor Academy/Fair Haven, N.J.), first-year Augusta Nadler (Tabor Academy/Marion, Mass.), and senior John Cline (St. Georges School/Stuart, Fla.) combined to win six of 14 races in the A division to lead the Hobart and William Smith sailing team to a victory at its own HWS Fall Invitational. In 28 races, HWS scored 97 points beating Boston College by 12.

Racing in the B division sophomore Eric Oppen (Oromo/Wayzata, Minn.), junior Alexis Rubin (Edmund Burke/Potomac, Md.), and senior Peter Blain (Grosse Point South/Grosse Point, Mich.) scored 63 points on their way to a third place finish behind Dartmouth and Boston College.
