Hobart sailors take second at Sloop Nationals

The runners up in the 2003 ICSA Sloop North American Championship

KINGS POINT, N.Y.--For the second straight season, Hobart sailors placed second in the ICSA Sloop North American Championships. Senior Jeff Sullivan (McQuaid/Rochester, N.Y.), juniors John Storck (St. Anthony's/Huntington, N.Y.) and Lee Sackett (Gilmour Academy/Mentor, Ohio) and sophomore Zack Goldman (Lutheran/Huntington, N.Y.) posted a team score of 40 points, 12 behind the winning team from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.

The Statesmen edged third place Harvard by just seven points.

Both Storck and Sullivan were members of the 2002 sloop team that also placed second in the ICSA North American Championship.
