Wakeman first at Atlantic Coast Mono's

March 23, 2003

KINGS POINT, N.Y.—Hobart College sophomore Wiley Wakeman (Groton School/Cohasset, Mass.) was victorious this past weekend at the Atlantic Coast Mono’s hosted by USMMA-Kings Point. Wakeman battled with the Mariners’ David Chapman throughout the regatta, edging him by 10 points in the end.

In 18 races, Wakeman took first four times, while earning runner-up finishes three other times. He never finished lower than 12th, and grabbed a top-five place 12 times.

Also competing was senior Rob Storck (Northport/Northport, N.Y.), finishing in 13th place with 203 points. He had seven top-10 finishes in the 18 races.
