William Smith to host soccer coaching clinic

January 7, 2003

GENEVA, N.Y. —William Smith College will host a coaching clinic entitled “Soccer Tactics Workshop” January 24 through January 26. Graham Ramsay, the executive director of the Soccer School, will be the weekend’s featured clinician.

One of the leading coaches in North America, Ramsay has been spreading the soccer gospel for more than 20 years. He holds coaching licenses from England, Canada, and the United States. His work has taken him to Europe, the Middle East, and many parts of North and South America. The spectrum of Ramsay’s experience is vast, ranging from the professional club level to men’s and women’s collegiate soccer, to youth programs.

“We’ve been holding this clinic for several years now and I believe Graham has a superior ability to educate and inspire coaches,” William Smith Head Coach Aliceann Wilber said. “He presents current ideas and trends from the international soccer world and assists coaches from youth to college levels in broadening their knowledge in a fun and graphic way.”

For more information about the weekend’s topics or to register, contact Wilber at (315) 781-3933. Registration costs $65 before Jan. 15, and $80 afterwards.
