Heron hoops places 4 on All-Academic Team

GENEVA, N.Y.—The William Smith basketball team placed four of its student-athletes on the Liberty League All-Academic Team recently.
To earn a spot on the Liberty League All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.2, and be at least a sophomore academically. The following Herons were named to the All-Academic Team:
• Senior Emily Alcott (Waterville/Waterville, N.Y.), biology major
• Junior Stephanie Czajkowski (Bishop Ludden/Syracuse, N.Y.), chemistry/writing & rhetoric double major
• Sophomore Paige Myers (Massena/Massena, N.Y.), undeclared
• Junior Marisa Vespa (Immaculate Heart/Watertown, N.Y.), biology major
The Herons currently own a 7-5 overall record and a 1-1 conference mark. They will be back in action on Jan. 19 when they travel to Skidmore for a Liberty League match up at 6 p.m.
