Hadwin named to D3hoops.com All-East team

GENEVA, N.Y.—William Smith College senior forward Laura Hadwin (Vestal/Vestal, N.Y.) was named to the D3hoops.com All-East Region first-team today. D3hoops.com is the definitive Internet resource for Division III basketball.
Hadwin, the Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association Player of the Year surpassed the 1,000-point plateau and ended her collegiate career with 1,288 points and 644 rebounds. She lead the conference in scoring (19.3 ppg), ranked second in field goal percentage (.510), third in free throw percentage (.798), and fourth in rebounding (8.5 rpg).
Also, Hadwin is among the 40 finalists being considered for Kodak/WBCA All-American honors.
A three-year starter, Hadwin holds the William Smith record for free throws made in a season (138 in ’02-03) and in a career (396). During her four seasons, she helped William Smith to a 63-41 record and appearances in the NCAA Tournament (2000) and the ECAC Upstate Tournament (2002).
