Herons finish 14th in Hoffman Pre-Regional

CANTON, N.Y.—The William Smith cross country team finished 14th out of 17 teams at the Ronald C. Hoffman Atlantic Pre-Regional hosted by St. Lawrence University. Sophomore Leanne Roncolato (Meadville/Meadville, Pa.) led the Herons across the finish line, placing 77th in the 184-runner field.
Roncolato covered the 6-kilometer course in 26:14. Junior Kate Chabot (Keene/Keene, N.H.) was the second Heron home, placing 82nd in 26:30.
William Smith returns to action on Oct. 2, in the Liberty League Championships at Vassar College.
