Herons compete at NCAA Atlantic Regional

ROCHESTER, N.Y.—The William Smith College cross country team finished its season at the NCAA Division III Atlantic Region Championships this afternoon. The Herons finished 19th out of 28 teams in a field that included schools from across New York and New Jersey.
Junior Leanne Roncolato (Meadville/Meadville, Pa.) was the first William Smith runner to cross the finish line, completing the 6-kilometer course in a time of 25:20.2 and placing 79th out of 207 competitors. Senior Kate Chabot (Keene/Keene, N.H.) edged out a New York University runner by less than a second for 99th place with a time of 25:44.9.
