Roncolato leads Herons at Liberty League meet

GENEVA, N.Y.—William Smith College Leanne Roncolato (Meadville/Meadville, Pa.) led the Heron cross country team this afternoon at the Liberty League Championships this afternoon at Vassar College, covering the 6k course in 26:34 for 26th place. William Smith finished sixth of seven teams, while St. Lawrence captured the title.
Pacing each other throughout the race were junior Kathryn Chabot (Keene/Keene, N.H.) and sophomore Jen Strong (Honeyoe/Honeyoe, N.Y.), turning in respective times of 26:49 and 27:07.
First-year Morgan McCuaig (Rutland/Mendon, Vt.) was next across the line for William Smith in 40th place with a time of 27:40, while junior Amanda Condello (Irondequoit/Rochester, N.Y.) rounded out the top-five with a finishing time of 28:31 for 50th place.
William Smith runs again on Oct. 16, traveling to the Roberts Wesleyan Invitational. The gun is scheduled to go off at 11 a.m.
