Herons finish ninth at Oswego State Invitational

OSWEGO, N.Y.—The William Smith College cross country team finished ninth out of 12 teams at the Oswego State Invitational this afternoon. Senior Leanne Roncolato (Meadville/Meadville, Pa.) was the first of the Herons to finish the 5-kilometer course in a time 20:58, placing 58th out of 135 runners.
Newcomer Katie Pietrak (Nardin Academy/Amherst, N.Y.) finished 72nd, while junior Morgan MacCuaig (Rutland/Mendon, Vt.) followed in the 74th spot, and first-year Liz Mills (Tully/Lafayette, N.Y.) took 79th.
The Herons will be in action again Sept. 16 when they participate in the Hobart Invitational at 11 a.m.
