ROCK ISLAND, Ill.--William Smith College junior Amy Young (Hugh C. Williams/Canton, N.Y.) represented the Herons today in the NCAA Division III National Championship, hosted by Augustana College. She finished 76th overall in a field of more than 200 runners from across the country. She covered the 5-kilometer course in 18 minutes, 23 seconds.
Young is the only William Smith runner to ever qualify for the NCAA Championship
meet. Last season in her first appearance on the national stage, she finished
33rd, earning All-American honors.
