GENEVA, N.Y.—Two William Smith College field hockey players were honored by the Liberty League this afternoon. Senior forward Maggie Dolan (Towson/Towson, Md.) was named the conference’s Co-Offensive Performer of the Week, while senior back Lauren Fuller (Shaker/Loudonville, N.Y.) earned the Co-Defensive Performer of the Week award.

Dolan scored two unassisted goals, including the game-winner, in a 3-0 victory at Oswego State. She leads the team in goals this season and is currently 16th on the William Smith career points list (25-16-66), one shy of No. 15 Moira Lewis ’87 (20-27-67).

Fuller and her backline mates stifled the Oswego State forwards all afternoon long, preventing the Lakers from taking a single shot on goal. The Herons prevailed in their lone game last week, 3-0.

William Smith (3-1) returns to action on Sept. 17-18, when the Herons host the annual William Smith Tournament. The Herons will open the action at 11 a.m. on Sept. 17 against Ramapo, and close the tournament on Sept. 18 at 2 p.m. against Susquehanna.
