GENEVA, N.Y.—William Smith senior midfielder Amy Kuzio (Clinton/Clinton, N.Y.) recently was named to the North roster of the annual National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III North-South All-Star game. The game will be played at 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 19 at Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Va.

A three-time All-Liberty League selection, Kuzio is second on the team in assists (10) and third in points (18). She scored a season-high four points in the Herons’ 8-1 win over Nazareth on Oct. 28. Kuzio notched back-to-back game-winning goals in triumphs over Susquehanna and Rensselaer.

Kuzio has started 77 of the 81 games she has played in over the past four seasons, accumulating eight goals and 24 assists for 40 points. She is tied for sixth on the William Smith career assists list.

William Smith (16-3) won the 2005 Liberty League regular season and tournament championships, capturing the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Herons earned a first round bye and will square off against the winner of today’s Washington & Lee at Montclair State game on Nov. 11 on the campus of Messiah College. The match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

Tickets are $6 for adults, $5 for senior citizens, $3 for student from participating institutions with proper ID and children. Children under 5 will be admitted free.
