Dillon named UCAA Rookie of the Week

GENEVA, N.Y.—William Smith College first-year forward Sarah Dillon (Blair Academy/Oldwick, N.J.) was named the Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association Field Hockey Rookie of the Week, for the week ending Sept. 28. She scored a pair of goals as the Herons swept their conference weekend.
At St. Lawrence on Friday, Dillon came off the bench and scored the game-tying goal, her first collegiate goal, late in the first half. William Smith went on to win the game in overtime, 2-1. The following afternoon at Hamilton, Dillon netted the final tally in a 3-0 victory over the Continentals.
The Herons (5-2) will put their four-game win streak on the line at 7 p.m., on Sept. 30, in another UCAA match up at the University of Rochester.
